Hello and Best Wishes to you all for the Happy and Healthy New Year!
I’m writing to commend you and the Magic Masters on the wonderful job you did at the fund-raiser for our senior class trip. The professionalism, flexibility and poise shown by Speedy, Cody, and Smidoo, (I hope I spelled that correctly!) when they visited our school and Andes Central School I know were the reasons we had a larger than expected crowd of spectators at the basketball game the following week.
I have bittersweet feelings about the fact that “my” class of 2007 will graduate next June, but I will certainly not hesitate to recommend the Magic Masters to next year’s advisor, or to anyone else who is looking for a high-quality, wholesome, family entertainment.
Rudy, I especially appreciate your understanding when I had to make scheduling changes on short notice, and other accommodations you made for us regarding payment and the pre-game visit. Speedy, I’d like to particularly thank you for taking the time to talk to Esteban about college. I’m hoping that he will take your advice to heart and will apply; I know he has the intelligence and work ethic to succeed.
Thank you to each of you for your positive messages to all the kids; they talked about the Magic Masters for days after your visit! We need strong role models like you to try to influence kids away from drugs and alcohol and toward deciding an education is worth fighting for!
Again, thank you for providing us with a wonderful evening of fun and entertainment. We enjoyed meeting each of you and hope that we’ll see you again sometime soon. Please feel free to use me as a reference at any time. Best regards.

Dear Rudy:

As you are aware, On December 1st, the RJO Intermediate School staff engaged in a basketball game with The Harlem Magic Masters. Prior to the event, there was frequent communication between you and me regarding the contract, deposit and various aspects of the game. It must be noted that from start to finish, all of my interactions with you and your staff have been professional and entertaining. It has been a pleasure to do business with you. Throughout our discussions, accommodations were made to assist with the fundraising, which included the donation of an autographed Harlem Magic Masters basketball and jersey and an increase of the school’s commission from the sale of merchandise.

The event attracted approximately 1,000 people forcing us to change the location to a larger gymnasium. This event was held to raise money for the Honeysuckle Foundation, which aids children at the Schneider Children’s Hospital. $4,200 was raised for the organization. Feedback from the students, parents and staff members was overwhelmingly positive. Students, parents and staff have indicated that they are already looking forward to next year’s game.

I would be remiss if I did not mention “Speedy’s” visit prior to the game. He spent a great deal of time in our cafeteria and gym classes where he promoted the vent, engaged students in activities and performed for them. After his visit, ticket sales skyrocketed.

Enclosed please find a check in the amount of $4,164.50 for 50% of the tickets sales from this game. On behalf of the students, staff and community, I would like to thank you for making this event such a great success. I look forward to working with you in the near future.
